Healthy kids still need the doctor. Yearly checkups are where we catch the slow, silent stuff — vision shifts, growth faltering, blood-pressure creep, anxiety — while it’s still easy to fix.
What we track every year
Growth curves (the trend matters more than any single point), BMI trends, blood pressure from age 3, vision and hearing at key ages, plus developmental and mental-health screening tuned to each stage.
Why the schedule matters
Vaccines are timed for when protection is needed most; spacing them out leaves gaps. And school, camp, and sports forms all require an exam within the last 12 months — one visit covers them all.
Making checkups count
Bring your list: sleep, appetite, behavior, school, screens. The questions parents almost don’t ask are usually the most important ones of the visit.
Due for one?
